The Hallow is the most adaptable and practical building in this range. Windows and doors can be positioned to suit your requirements; the exact size of the buildings can also be tailored to fit your specification.
As standard The Hallow comes with three 1200mm x 1200mm casement/vent double glazed windows and single half glazed door. Extra windows and doors /double doors can be added if required – see options. All windows and doors are fitted with 4mm toughened double glazed units as standard.
Internally The Hallow is fully lined and insulated making it warm and comfortable for all round year use.
Prior to delivery The Hallow is treated with three coats of medium oak stain, should you prefer there are a range of exciting colours to choose from.
The roof of The Hallow is covered with bitumen roof tiles available in black, red or green. There is also the option to add cedar shingles.

Specification:
12mm Scandinavian Redwood tongue and grooved shiplap boards as standard. OPtional Canadian Western Red Cedar Shiplap is available as an upgrade.
The walls are lined with a breather paper membrane, then insulated with Ufoil®. This insulation is fitted in the cavity between the cladding and 45mm x 70mm framework. All Malvern Garden Offices are lined with 12mm Scandinavian Redwood tongue and grooved matchboard as standard, you can upgrade the wall lining to a patterned MDF.
The Henwick and The Hallow are fitted with 1200mm x 1200mm casement/vent double glazed windows as standard, four in The Henwick and three in The Hallow. As an option The Henwick and The Hallow are also available with cottage style windows. The Hanley has six fixed 2000mm x 557mm glass to ground double glazed windows and two opening 375mm x 1255mm vent windows. All opening windows are fitted with lockable key catches.
The Henwick and Hanley are fitted with 1981mm x 1168mm Hemlock double glazed doors. Cottage double doors are available as an option on The Henwick. The Hallow is fitted with a 1981mm x 762mm single double glazed hardwood door as standard. All doors are fitted with a 5 lever mortise locks and brass door handles. On the double doors the slave door is fitted with flush bolts.
All windows and doors are fitted with 4mm toughened glass, and double glazed as standard.
A weather resistant 18mm OSB Sterling board floor is fixed to 70mm x 45mm pressure treated tanalised floor joists. In between the sterling board and floor joists we lay vapour barrier screen, insulation is then laid on top of the 18mm sterling board floor. 7mm laminate floor covering can be ordered as an option which is laid on top of the insulation.
Bitumin roof tiles are laid onto a weather resistant 12mm OSB Sterling board roof. Roof tiles are available in black, red or green. The inside of the roof is insulated with Ufoil®. The inside of our roofs are lined with 12mm tongue and grooved Scandinavian redwood matchboards. As an option you may to choose to upgrade to a western red cedar shingle tiled roof.
Buildings are treated with a comprehensive Tecknos paint system to both protect and decorate the exterior. Each panel receives three coats of your chosen colour. Tongue and grooved boards are pre-sprayed prior to manufacture to prevent shrinkage marks, they receive two further coats once the the panels have been constructed. Windows and doors have a base coat then a further top coat of your chosen colour. All Malvern Garden offices are supplied in a medium oak colour as standard, there is a range of colours to choose from.
The Malvern Range of Garden Offices are insulated with Ufoil®, which is polythene bubble sandwiched between aluminum foil.
- Ufoil insulation works on the principles of reflecting up to 95% radiant heat.
- Ufoil BDA insulation comprises of polyethylene bubble which has aluminum to both faces.
- Ufoil thermal performance is unaffected by moisture and condensation. Ufoil has a vapour resistance in excess of 500MNsg and will therefore provide significant resistance to the passage of water vapour, and would be considered a vapour control layer as defined in section 1 of BS5250:1989 (1995)
